History

skyrockit was founded in 2001 as Faith West Inc., the US-based subsidiary of Faith, Inc. – the Japanese company that pioneered the technology behind polyphonic ringtones through its relationships with such wireless carriers as NTT DoCoMo and KDDI. Faith established Faith West to deliver mobile content to U.S. consumers, and to support the licensing of Faith's software-based sound solutions for mobile phones and other communications and electronic devices globally. Faith West launched Modtones polyphonic ringtones in June 2002. The company changed its name to Moderati in March of 2005. In February 2007, Bellrock Media acquired Moderati. Bellrock Media is a Japanese entertainment company that develops content for broadband, mobile and emerging platforms. Together, all Bellrock Media companies collaborate with premium brands in developing and distributing breakthrough content that provide the ultimate experience for both consumers and marketers. In February 2010, Moderati changed its name to skyrockit as it refocuses its services to help its existing media, distribution and brand partners deliver winning mobile entertainment experiences to their consumers.
