KANSAS CITY, MO. -- If timing is everything, then a well-timed phone call is hard to beat. Fox 4's Rob Low reports that Sprint is offering a new service that sends your cell phone a call at the most opportune time.
It's called the Mobile Faker: a download application that offers a full roster of social tools.
It can provide you with pick up lines, or, on the other side of the battle of the sexes, fake phone numbers to give someone who you really don't want to hear from. When they call, they get connected to what the Mobile Faker calls the Rejection Hotline.
You can also retreat to the restroom to program the phone to give you a fake call. The call will give you voice prompts to simulate a number of situations..anything from a "friend in trouble" to "my water has broken."
If your goal is to impress, you can download pictures of a hunky, nonexistent boyfriend, or ask for a call which prompts you to speak in French. We spoke to one satisfied customer who used it to duck out of a baby shower. The Mobile Faker goes for $3.99 a month.
