Zonday Moves Away From The Mic And Onto Your Phone

Chocolate Rain Ringtone Now Available On Carrier Decks

San Francisco, December 4, 2007 – Can't get Chocolate Rain out of your head? It's about to get worse - mobile entertainment firm Moderati has brought the online video phenom to mobile phones nationwide.

The tone is available on several major wireless carriers as part of their on-deck offering. Consumers can navigate to the ringtone offering on their handsets and search or browse for the Chocolate Rain tone.

Chocolate Rain, a simple piano tune sung in a James Earl Jones-style delivery, is the brainchild of Tay Zonday, a 25 year old from Minneapolis. The video has more than 11 million views on YouTube, and has inspired endless amount of parodies and covers, including renditions by John Mayer and Green Day's Tre Cool.

"We're fascinated by the internet's ability to create new pop culture stars," says Sara Cabral, Director of Licensing for Moderati, "and songs made famous virally are perfect as ringtones. Moderati and our carrier partners are pleased to introduce these tones."

In keeping with the pop culture theme, Moderati also offers "Don't Tase Me, Bro," the latest catchphrase to achieve wild popularity via the internet. Andrew Meyer, a University of Florida student, got rowdy during a campus talk by John Kerry. After he refused to quiet down, he was arrested by campus police and tasered. His infamous "Don't Tase Me, Bro" scream can now decorate your own cell phone.

Chocolate Rain and "Don't Tase Me, Bro" are available for standard ringtone rates on the carrier decks.
