Philippines’ Got Talent

Last May 14, 2015, El Gamma Penumbra, a shadow play group hailing from the Philippines, emerged as the grand champion of Asia’s Got Talent, season 1. Filipino pride? Well, another one of the final three was also Filipino, the classic singer Gerphil Geraldine Flores.

And it doesn’t stop there.

Four out of nine of the grand finalists on Asia’s Got Talent were all from the Philippines! We have El Gamma and Gerphil. Then we have the dance sensation Junior New System and the little diva Gwyneth Dorado, who are also young ones who were born and raised in the Philippines.

Filipinos do seem to have a stream of talent in their genes, may it be in singing, dancing, boxing (hey, Manny!), acting, designing, modelling, and whatnot. The world is speckled with a number of world-class-talent Filipinos, such as Lea Salonga, Bruno Mars, Efren “Bata” Reyes, and Danica Magpantay.

And it’s good to note that this very talented gene pool also has a branch reaching out to the academe and professional areas. One of the biggest reasons that lots of international companies outsource to the Philippines, or places like India, is that Filipinos are known to be a race of many talents.

Some of the best web developers and designers all come from the Philippines. And with matters pertaining to websites and any web-related work, creativity is key to stand out among the rest.

This is precisely the reason Ry, the founder of SkyRockIT, has grown to love the Philippines and the Filipinos he is working with. SkyRockIT focuses on web development, graphic design, video production, and mobile app development.

All these require a good amount of brains and a whole lot of creativity to produce a service that our customers will love and will want to have again and again—and that’s why we love someone who’s got talent.

Filipinos also have a very unique talent on excelling on everything they put their heart into. Our Pinoy employees at SkyRockIT are brilliant at what they do, and they do more than what’s expected of them. It takes passion and talent to be as hardworking as Filipinos are, and still maintain a smiling face and a fantastic sense of humor in spite of everything.

We’re always on the lookout for more talented individuals to join our growing team. So if you’re interested, shoot us an email.
